Highley

A layout by Dave Taylor and Paul Weymen.

Highley is a fictional ex Great Western Railway station somewhere in the Gloucestershire / Worcestershire counties of England.

Like many stations of its kins, it is situated some miles from the village of the same name and therefore did not have great numbers of passengers using it.

The period we are trying to portray is the late 1950's to the late 1960's.

My fellow railway modeller, Phil, and I, have been constructing this layout for aboout a year and a half but have been hampered by the extreme cold conditions of the club rooms!

There are still many things that Phil and I have to complete on the layout and there are notices in certain locations where work is needed.
